The chain is 46.58g in weight and 16.40 inches in length, extendable to 17.13 inches using the T-bar O-rings.

Each link is meticulously stamped with a crown and "18" hallmark, a mark of its authenticity and quality. The WHW Ltd maker’s mark, likely belonging to WH Wilmot of Birmingham (established 1860), is found on both dog clips, the T-bar, and one wide curb link. Additional hallmarks include the Birmingham assay office anchor on the T-bar and the thickest O-link, along with the 1920 date letter on the latter.
