This extraordinary extra-large crescent necklace by Annina Vogel features approximately 5.8 to 6 carats of bright, clean old mine cut diamonds, meticulously set into a Victorian-era crescent (originally an antique brooch). Reimagined using period components, the 37.5mm x 34mm crescent is crafted in 9ct gold and silver, suspended from a 10ct gold belcher chain, formerly part of a long guard chain, finished with a 10.5mm bolt ring stamped '10'.
The design showcases 68 hand-set, graduated old mine cut diamonds, 55 along the outer curves and 13 on the inner, centred around a striking 0.60-0.65ct stone. Weighing 17.74g and measuring 17 inches in length, the necklace remains in excellent antique condition.
